When it comes to the Czech Republic, there are a zillion pretty places that one can visit but the one evergreen name that stands tall in everyone’s mind is the heritage rich city of Prague. It’s been a seat of importance since time immemorial and the city has been the backdrop of political, economic and cultural interest.

The best thing about Prague is that despite being a rather small city it is packed with heritage sites, so much so that the city centre is a declared heritage site. There are a whole lot of places visitors can visit once here. This beautiful European city did encounter destruction as a result of a large bombing during the Second World War but the damages were not as destructive as suffered by many of its European counterparts. You may have heard it being referred to as the “city of a hundred spires” and also “the golden city.”
