If there is one place on the face of this earth that has as much history to boast of as its long list of modern marvels, it is China. Though there are myriad reasons to visit China, here, arguably, are the top five reasons to go to this country before it’s too late.
To say that The Great Wall of China will leave you overawed is at best an understatement. The only man made structure visible from the moon, this place is always swarming with visitors. Other Chinese landmarks that are visited by hundreds of tourists every day is The Summer Palace, or Yihe yuan (Gardens of Nurtured Harmony) in Beijing and the Terracotta Warriors.
The largest stone Buddha in the world, otherwise known as ‘Dafo’, is also located in China in the Leshan City. More than 1,000 years old, this stone structure was carved by devout Buddhist monks over a period of 90 years. Visiting The Forbidden City is yet another reason to plan a trip to China.
