Discovered accidentally by Robert Noffsinger, a seventeen year old farm laborer on August 17, 1897 Ohio caverns are a thrilling underground experience. Member of National Caving Association it is an natural wonder with over 90% of all the stalactites and stalagmites formation in the active stage. The caverns were actually holding the underground water from a glacier which have receded over the years and is now no longer seen.

After its discovery in 1897 the caverns were thrown open to the public by the name of Mt Tabor cave tours where the tourists could explore just a quarter of a mile. Later the cavern was bought by the Smith brothers who carried out excavations and started tours from 1925. The main attractions in Ohio caverns include:
